141 Free Humans: the Wave is densifying

141 Free Humans: the Wave is densifying

On the evening of July 1st, we were 126 Free Humans.

Two days later, we are 141.

These are not just fifteen more numbers. These are fifteen humans who have taken their place in the history of FreeWillWave, from Free Human #127 to Free Human #141.

The Wave has not yet changed continents this time. It has not expanded geographically. It has densified.

And that is important too.

The Wave continues to move forward

The arrivals of the last few days give a calmer rhythm than the big leap at the end of June, but the movement is still there:

  • July 1st: 12 arrivals, from #117 to #128.
  • July 2nd: 8 arrivals, from #129 to #136.
  • July 3rd: 5 arrivals so far, from #137 to #141.
  • In the last 24 sliding hours: 6 new Free Humans.

The latest arrival, at the time I am writing these lines, is Nick, Free Human #141, from the United Kingdom, who arrived on July 3rd at 15:53 UTC.

Welcome Nick.

The United Kingdom is pushing hard

Canada remains in the lead with 41 Free Humans.

But the United Kingdom continues to rise: it goes from 27 to 32 Free Humans and now becomes a very clear second country in the Wave.

The current ranking of countries:

  • Canada — 41 Free Humans
  • United Kingdom — 32
  • United States — 22
  • France — 14
  • New Zealand — 10
  • Australia — 8
  • Belgium — 3
  • Senegal — 1
  • Niger — 1
  • Tanzania — 1
  • United Arab Emirates — 1

Still 11 countries.

The map is not yet opening up to new territories, but some countries are starting to gain thickness. This is another form of growth. Less spectacular perhaps, but very valuable: a Wave does not become solid just because it goes far. It becomes solid because it also starts to exist more where it has already passed.

A day with a French touch

July 3rd also has a little French touch.

Of the 5 arrivals of the day, 3 come from France:

France now has 14 Free Humans.

It is not yet an explosion. But it is a signal. And in this experience, signals matter. One person talks about it. Then another. Then someone clicks. Then someone signs. Then a number is sealed.

This is exactly how the Wave is built.

The energy continues to flow

Since the opening, 458 energies have been sent.

Two days ago, we were at 423. So that's 35 more energies in two days, including 16 in the last 24 hours.

And above all: these energies come from 33 different people.

This means that about one third of the base has already made at least one gesture of energy.

I really like this number because it shows something beyond registration. It shows that humans are coming back. They are looking. They are clicking. They are sending something. They are not just passing by once out of curiosity.

They are starting to inhabit the Wave.

The podiums make gestures visible

On the page The Wave, the rankings are starting to tell a story.

For the energy sent, by removing Serge / Free Human #1 from this ranking, the current podium is:

There is one detail that I particularly like: Southern Pacific Freedom, Free Human #40, is precisely the one who asked me where he could see his energies.

The question was simple.

But it gave rise to an improvement.

And now, not only can he see his energies, but he is part of the very first humans who send the most.

This is exactly what I want the site to become: not just a place to sign up, but a tool that evolves with the humans who use it.

The podiums are not there to turn the Wave into a cold competition. They are there to make visible those who give time, energy, support, invitations, ideas.

When someone makes a gesture, it does not disappear into the void.

The Wave remembers.

On the financial support side: still just one gesture

For financial support, nothing new since the last article.

The only support remains that of Oddur Tom, Free Human #79, from Australia, with $5 sent on June 28th.

Funny result: Oddur Tom alone still holds the podium for the biggest support, and Australia remains at the top of the countries that financially support the Wave.

It's small in amount.

But symbolically, it's huge: the first support came from a Free Human already entered into the Wave. Not from a campaign, not from a large structure, not from an outside sponsor.

From a human.

The site is becoming a real home for Free Humans

In the last two days, something has not only happened in the numbers. Something has also happened in the tool.

I have continued to improve the site to make it more useful, more alive, more human.

And several of these improvements come directly from what members have asked or shown me.

A messaging system between Free Humans

It is now possible to write privately to another Free Human via the messaging.

A box gathers conversations, the thread The Wave for news, and the thread Guests to follow the people who arrived thanks to you.

You can search for someone by number or by name. Each person chooses whether to accept being contacted or not. And if a person is not there, an email can notify them.

Read messages do not stay indefinitely: they automatically delete themselves a week after being read.

This messaging system was born from exchanges with Free Human #40, in New Zealand.

I love that.

Because it means that a person on the other side of the world can ask a question, and that question becomes a feature that then serves everyone.

A Remarks space

There is now a space to leave an idea, a question, a bug, a remark.

It is here: Leave a remark.

I read them. I note them. I process them.

And very often, this is where the next improvement starts.

FreeWillWave is not a fixed product. It is a living tool. And if it is to serve free humans, then it must also learn to listen to the humans who use it.

Sending energy to someone

Before, we mostly sent energy to the world.

Now, we can also address it to a specific person.

And when this energy is opened, the video unfolds in full screen, like a little moment to say: someone thought of you.

I have also added medallions for significant gestures: first energy, hundredth energy, first invitation… with a little moment of celebration.

These are details, but details change everything.

A global Wave should not become abstract. It must remain human.

The 'Me' page becomes more useful

The page Me has been enriched.

It better shows your place in the reserve, which can rise when you welcome someone. It also explains the appointment on August 1st, the start of the chain.

And for newcomers, I have added a Your first steps panel.

Because arriving on a page full of zeros is not very motivating.

When someone joins the Wave, they need to understand what to do. Not wonder if they have fallen into an empty dashboard.

Sharing becomes simpler

The invitation is now easier to send.

You can share in one gesture via WhatsApp or Telegram, with a pre-written but modifiable message.

When you get your number, a medallion card in your name can be shared.

And when your guest opens the page, they see who is inviting them.

The welcome email also directly provides means to invite.

This is important because the Wave does not grow by magic. It grows when everyone makes a little effort to pass it on.

No need to convince the whole Earth.

But if everyone invites, shares, shows, explains, then something can really happen.

The Wave becomes quotable

A new public page gathers the updated numbers: The Wave in numbers.

It includes Free Humans, countries, languages, supports, but also an embeddable counter on a site and downloadable data.

Why is this important?

Because a global social experience must be able to be cited.

By a journalist.

By a blogger.

By someone who wants to write an article.

By someone who wants to say: « Look, this is not just an idea. There are numbers. There are humans. There is a map. There is a story unfolding. »

Simpler also on the phone

The connection has also been simplified.

There is now a one-click login button in the email, and the site can be installed as an app on the phone.

This is the kind of improvement that does not make a big headline, but changes the real experience.

Less friction.

Fewer codes to retype.

More chances that someone returns.

And for a Wave, returning counts a lot.

The appointment of August 1st

I have also harmonized the dates on the site.

Now everywhere, the site talks about August 1st for the start of the chain.

Then, the Wave will restart at the rhythm of the months: every 1st of the month, the chain restarts, and everyone can participate again.

I really like this idea.

Because it removes the pressure of 'all or nothing'.

The Wave is not just a moment that passes and disappears. It becomes an appointment. A rhythm. A monthly breath.

Every month, a new possibility.

Every month, a new chance to do your part.

What I see today

Today, I see a Wave still small, but increasingly real.

I see 141 Free Humans.

I see the United Kingdom pushing.

I see France sending three new humans in one day.

I see 33 people who have already sent energy.

I see a Free Human from New Zealand asking a question, and that question becoming a feature.

I see a messaging system appearing.

I see a numbers page ready to be shared.

I see a site that is starting to look less like just a site, and more like a home for those who have chosen.

And above all, I see this: the Wave does not depend on a big external event.

It depends on small human gestures, repeated.

Signing up.

Sending energy.

Inviting someone.

Sharing the link.

Leaving a remark.

Making the experience known.

These are small gestures. But in a Wave, no gesture is isolated.

To those who read

If you are reading this article, you can make a real difference.

You can share the Wave.

You can invite a person.

You can send the link to someone who understands the importance of freedom, personal choice, and respecting that same freedom in others.

You can also simply show that this experience exists.

Because deep down, that is the heart of FreeWillWave: to make visible something that many may feel alone in their corner.

We may not be alone.

And if we are many to choose freely, then it must start to show.

See the numbers
