37 new presences, a Splash that returns, and better chosen doors

On September 11, 2026, the Wave advanced more gently than the day before, as told in 62 more presences, a Splash that shows, and Spaces taking shape. We went from 11,427 to 11,464 Free Humans, with 37 new presences, all arriving by invitation.

No new country was added to the map: we remain present in 100 countries. But a calmer day is not an empty day. Invitations still opened doors, 246 people sent at least one energy, and the 18:00 UTC Splash continued to bring humans together at the same moment.

Behind the scenes, the day was mostly a day of choices. I temporarily closed the door to Spaces to finish the tool without exposing it too early, I made the contact box more usable, I cleaned up the alert channel so it could regain its strength, and the FreeWillWave TV antenna left Twitch for Rumble. These are less visible actions than a big leap on the map, but they change a lot for what comes next.

A lower day, but still passed on

The 37 new presences of the day all came by invitation. This is the most important thread to keep: FreeWillWave continues to pass from hand to hand. One person shares, another opens, then freely chooses to take their place.

The last presence in the record is #11464 Malik Houda (Algeria), arriving at 23:26 UTC. At that moment, the counter reached 11,464 Free Humans. This number can be read on the Wave in figures, but the Chronicle keeps another memory: that of the small transmissions that make this number possible.

Among the countries explicitly detailed in the record, Egypt adds 12 presences, India 7, Nigeria 5, Algeria 4, Jordan 3, and Malaysia 1. The total of these lines does not cover the whole day, so I simply keep what is certain, without completing what is not.

You can follow this living geography on the Wave map. Even when no new country lights up, the countries already present gain depth. The map does not only tell where the Wave has appeared; it also shows where it continues to receive new presences.

The Splash brought together 15 people at the same moment

The Splash of September 11 took place from 18:00 to 19:00 UTC. Every day at 18:00 UTC, for one hour, members invite at the same time, to experience the rise of the number together. It is not a meeting or a video conference, no one speaks, there is nothing to prepare; you can just watch, and the one you miss returns the next day.

At the peak of the hour, 15 people were present at the same time. During this Splash, 180 invitation links were opened, 2 new presences arrived, 158 energies were sent, and no support was received during the hour. The Splash page keeps the explanations and results.

Congratulations to #2310 Amina Umar (Nigeria) for the invitations during the hour, and congratulations also, for the Splash energies, to #9125 Adamu Bello (Nigeria), #11103 Idris Uthman (Nigeria) and #6607 Abdullahi Yahaya Maraya (Nigeria). A common hour with 15 people at the same moment is not noise: it is a landmark that keeps returning.

Invitations, energies and support

Thank you, for the invitations of September 11, to #805 Chizo1germany (Germany), with 1 direct invitation, to #1608 Rabiu Ibrahim (Nigeria), with 1, and to #2029 Nura USMAN MUSA (Nigeria), also with 1.

Since the opening, #805 Chizo1germany (Germany) reaches 3,691 direct invitations, #2029 Nura USMAN MUSA (Nigeria) has 185, and #869 Ibrahim Sani (Nigeria) 170.

The energies were numerous: 2,842 during the day, sent by 246 different people. Nigeria accounts for 2,451, the Philippines 180, and New Zealand 99. Since the opening, the cumulative total reaches 56,370 energies.

Thank you, for the day's energies, to #9125 Adamu Bello (Nigeria), with 422 energies, to #10451 Hamza Muhammad Lawan (Nigeria), with 240, and to #10326 Isah Umar (Nigeria), with 228. Since the opening, #9125 Adamu Bello (Nigeria) reaches 4,007 energies, #10326 Isah Umar (Nigeria) 1,964, and #3377 Babayo Haruna (Nigeria) 1,896.

On the support side, two gestures of $5 are recorded since the opening: mine, in Belgium, and that of #79 Oddur Tom (Australia). The Support the project page remains open for those who want to help FreeWillWave continue.

What I closed, cleaned and moved

After the work told yesterday on Spaces, I preferred to temporarily close their public door again. The tool exists, the sequences and moments created remain in place, but I do not want to push everyone towards this part yet while it is not completely ready. The "My Spaces" entry has therefore disappeared from the account menu, the link from the personal space has been removed, the console is no longer open to members, and the public pages of Spaces redirect to the site rather than announcing that a door is closed. It is more discreet, and above all fairer: it is better to finish properly than to let a half-ready novelty give a bad first impression.

I of course keep a key to continue working on it. The necessary access remains possible for administration, and reopening can be done simply when the time comes. I also closed what would have allowed reading the information of a Space by knowing only its address. A closed door must truly protect what it closes; otherwise, it is a decorative door, and decorative doors are pretty only in old castles.

The contact box also changed level. I opened and organized a real box for FreeWillWave, with addresses capable of receiving and sending correctly. The goal is very simple: no longer find myself in front of a pile of messages without knowing what deserves a quick response, a verification, or just a quiet filing.

The alert channel was cleaned in the same spirit. There were 497 pending notifications, and too many messages mainly announced that nothing had happened. An alert channel must remain rare to remain useful. So I cut a lot of noise, kept what must truly warn, and added three concrete things: a mail watch, a morning point that starts by saying if all is well, and a response loop where I can reply in writing or by voice, reread a proposal, then validate the sending.

This loop was exercised on real mail, and it learned some useful lessons. For an irreversible act, a simple "yes" is no longer enough: the confirmation must be the exact phrase "Ok send the message". I also corrected the sending acknowledgments, the way to reply to the right message rather than to an already sent reply, the separation between headers and body of the mail, and the memory of the last draft for thirty minutes. These are small details from afar, but for me they change everything: replying becomes safer, clearer, and less prone to small silent disasters.

Finally, FreeWillWave TV left Twitch for Rumble. The antenna is now live on `rumble.com/user/FreeWillWaveTV`. The site was updated in the 15 languages, the contents were adapted, and the film logo was adjusted for this new platform. This move extends the work begun around the film of the experience and broadcasting: FreeWillWave must be able to be seen, understood, shared, and not only read in a table.

This work also joins the spirit of FreeWillWave now has a fuse — and the experiment needs you: growing requires making the paths clearer, the doors fairer, and the alerts more useful. It is not always spectacular, but it is what allows the Wave to stand while new people arrive.

A day that chooses its doors better

September 11 adds 37 presences, 37 arrivals by invitation, 2,842 energies, and a Splash where 15 people were there at the same moment. The map remains at 100 countries, but it continues to live through the presences that are added and the gestures that circulate.

You can look at the Wave map, follow the Wave in figures, participate in the Splash, listen to The Wave, watch again the film of the experience, support the project, or send a remark via Send an idea or a remark.

The rest will be built like this again: humans who take their place, invitations that open a door, energies sent freely, and improvements that make the experience simpler for the next person. Today, some doors closed to better prepare their reopening. Others remained wide open, and it is through them that the Wave continues to advance.
