62 more presences, a Splash that shows, and Spaces taking shape

On September 10, 2026, the Wave regained some momentum after the quieter day told in 44 more presences, a calmer Splash, and words put back in their place. We went from 11,365 to 11,427 Free Humans, with 62 new presences, all by invitation.

No new country was added to the map: we remain present in 100 countries. But the map kept thickening, especially in India and Nigeria, each adding 16 presences during the day. The last presence in the record is #11427 Mos Mos (Iraq), arriving at 22:57 UTC.

The day also had another face: the Splash keeps becoming a real gathering, and behind the scenes, many things were made more visible, simpler, more usable. It is less spectacular than a country lighting up for the first time, but it is exactly what allows someone arriving tomorrow to better understand where they are stepping.

The Wave keeps passing from hand to hand

The 62 new presences of the day all come by invitation. This is an important continuity: FreeWillWave still grows because humans open a door for other humans. An invitation is not just a link circulating; it is a possibility given to someone to see the Wave, to understand the experience, and then to take their place if they wish.

India and Nigeria each add 16 presences. Egypt adds 6, Algeria 5, Iraq 4, and Brazil 3. There is no new flag today, but there are more human dots in countries already present.

The Splash gathered 19 people at the same time

The Splash of September 10 took place from 18:00 to 19:00 UTC. Every day at 18:00 UTC, for one hour, members invite at the same time, to experience the rise of the number together. It is not a meeting or a video conference, no one speaks, there is nothing to prepare; you can just watch, and the one you miss comes back the next day. On Sunday, it is the Grand Splash.

At the peak of the hour, 19 people were present at the same time. During this Splash, 68 invitation links were opened, 5 new presences arrived, 232 energies were sent, and no support was received during the hour. The Splash page keeps the explanations and results.

An hour like that does not need to be loud to count: 19 people at the same time is already a small shared stage.

Invitations, energies and support

What I made simpler since the last chronicle

Since the last chronicle, I first reread the invitation tunnel with a rather healthy surprise: what I thought was broken was not broken in that way. The counter mixed real human openings with many automatic passes. Once the reading was cleaned up, the invitation appeared much more solid than expected. The real hole was elsewhere: too many people took their place and then left no visible trace afterwards. So I corrected the way of reading the origin of invitations, to distinguish a real share from a link simply picked up from a card, and I laid out an onboarding plan that presents the tracks without deciding for me.

The small arrival door was then reviewed. New presences now arrive directly on the Wave, instead of going through a page that asked too much again after the number. On mobile, the page to take your place shows the essentials better: a living strip with the number of Free Humans, a card of the inviter, clear access to the experience film, a living map, and more direct buttons. The invitation door shares the same sentences, the same mobile logic, and replaces a personal card that did not help enough with simple benefits and a security note. This is the kind of change that is mostly seen when arriving for the first time: less detour, more understanding.

The Splash also gained a real on-screen presence. At opening, a short full-screen scene announces that the Splash is starting, with two simple actions: invite now or send energy. At closing, another scene thanks the people present and points to the day's results. I touched up the display so it stays readable, especially on mobile. After The Splash returns, the map fills up, and the Wave becomes more readable, the gathering is no longer just an hour in a page: it now knows how to signal itself clearly to those already on the site.

Another big piece took shape: Spaces. The idea is simple to tell, even if it required a lot of work: to allow a human, a place, an event or a creator to have a shareable page and a living screen that shows their action with the Wave. `spaces.freewillwave.com` now exists, with a public page, a 16:9 screen, a console for the host, a visual studio, and six ready sequences: the pulse of the Wave, the host's impact, the host with the Wave, the Splash, the session, and the sponsors.

The Spaces console had first stacked everything on a single page. It was not pleasant. It now has real screens: overview, screen, sequences, numbers, settings, and a separate studio to keep space. The screen's QR no longer only serves to invite: it can count the people present on site. Energies can be distinguished according to whether they come from the room or from outside, without ever changing the fact that an energy remains an energy. A session can leave a frozen record, viewable in replay, and the album The Wave can accompany the screen.

Finally, Spaces gained what they lacked to become usable in real life: a menu in the account, a filmstrip of thumbnail shots, a palette that shows the available numbers with their current value, more human session information, and a rule for announcing moments. The creator chooses: a single evening, a daily series, a weekly series, a specific or broader place. The directory does not list abstract screens; it lists dated moments, now, soon or past. This is important: FreeWillWave does not only show an interface, it can now show humans who bring the experience to life at a given moment.

All this directly extends what I explained in FreeWillWave now has a fuse — and the experiment needs you: to grow, the experience must be clearer, more solid, and easier to pass on.

A day that better prepares the next

September 10 adds 62 presences, 62 arrivals by invitation, 3,634 energies, and a Splash where 19 people were there at the same time. The map does not change its number of countries, but it keeps getting denser. Humans invite, energies circulate, gatherings return.

Behind the scenes, the day mostly made arrival shorter, the Splash more visible, invitations better understood, and Spaces much more concrete. What comes next does not need to be spectacular to count. It can start with a person taking their place, another inviting, someone sending energy, or a remark that makes the site clearer. That is often how a Wave grows: one free gesture after another.
