71 presences by invitation, a Splash at 13, and twenty open doors to the media

September 14, 2026 kept the very clear thread of recent days: new presences came by invitation. After 73 presences by invitation, a Sunday Grand Splash, and a letter that echoes back, the Wave advanced again from person to person, with no new country, but with 71 more humans.

We went from 11,612 to 11,683 Free Humans, still in 100 countries. The last presence of the count is #11683 MoniKol (Canada), arriving at 23:32 UTC. It is not just a line added at the end of a table: it is one more presence on the map, one more possibility to pass on the idea, and one more proof that invitation remains today the heart of the movement.

The day also had its common appointment at 18:00 UTC, with 13 people present at the same time during the Splash. And behind the scenes, I began to open doors to the outside more regularly: twenty letters validated one by one, to present FreeWillWave to media and creators, with no guessed address and no message sent blindly.

The map does not gain a country, it gains depth

No new country was added to the Wave map: we remain present in 100 countries. But a map does not live only when a new border lights up. It also lives when countries already present become denser, because humans there continue the relay.

India and Nigeria carried the day together, with 26 new presences each. Egypt adds 7, then come Jordan, Kenya and Algeria among the detailed countries. Since 75 new presences, all by invitation, and a Splash that keeps the common hour, the line is stable: it is invitations that move the number forward.

The general numbers can be found on the Wave in figures. The Chronicle keeps the memory of the movement: 19 different people invited at least someone during the day. It is a simple figure, but it tells something very concrete: the Wave did not grow through a single door.

Monday's Splash brought together 13 people at the same time

The Splash took place from 18:00 to 19:00 UTC. Every day at 18:00 UTC, for one hour, members invite at the same time, to experience the rise of the number together; it is not a meeting or a video conference, no one speaks, there is nothing to prepare, one can just watch, and the one missed comes back the next day. On Sunday, it is the Grand Splash.

At the peak of the hour, 13 people were present at the same time on the Splash page. During that hour, 29 invitation links were opened, 5 new presences arrived, 176 energies were sent, and no support was received.

The energies were numerous as well: 3,316 during the day, sent by 273 different people. Nigeria accounts for 2,529, the Philippines 460, and India 82. Since the opening, the cumulative total reaches 66,135 energies.

Twenty letters, fresh figures, and three new animations

The construction day mainly revolved around a very concrete decision: to present FreeWillWave more regularly to the outside. I now contact twenty media or influencers per day, one by one, with each letter reread and validated before sending. The site is ready to be shown, and the urgency of the week is to find human relays capable of understanding the experience and talking about it correctly.

This work began with a good lesson in humility. An old base seemed ready, but it contained supposed contacts, therefore unusable. Alongside that, there was indeed a working list dated September 10, built from pages actually read. The rule is now clear: no guessed address, one single address per editorial office, forms set aside, and each card re-verified on the day of sending. It is less fast, but much cleaner, and it avoids sending FreeWillWave where no one really expected it.

The letter itself also changed. My first version was not pleasant; I threw it away. I rewrote the message to start by explaining why the person receives this letter, before presenting the project. And when nine YouTube channels come from my own subscriptions, the text says it differently: they were not designated by a machine. This small detail matters, because a presentation letter must be true even in its first sentence.

The first goal of the day was ten letters. It became twenty: 20 messages sent, in French and English, with a sending log to avoid duplicates, and 106 contacts still in queue. Some leads were removed upon closer reading: the Twitch/gaming vein did not match the target audience, a "letters to the editor" box is not a proposal door, and a card noted in the United States was corrected to Ontario. Again, it moves forward by learning.

Another important correction: the press releases still displayed 10,668 Free Humans in 96 countries, the figures of September 2. Meanwhile, the site and the letter already spoke of about 11,600 Free Humans in 100 countries. Now, the press releases take the same numbers as those visible on the map at the time they are prepared. This avoids an official document telling of a Wave older than the one the reader actually sees. The multilingual versions were also cleaned up to keep `Free Human` in the right form, including where the translation had tried to carry it away.

I also tightened the internal memory of the project. Nothing was deleted, but the index that helps me find the rules and decisions was lightened and clarified. Result: 348 tracked files, no dead link, no part become unfindable. It is not visible like an animation or a new page, but it is what avoids repeating the same mistakes over the days.

Finally, three energy animations were prepared: two around the media, with a television, a radio and headphones carried away by a burst of light or turning around a fountain, and a third made of hearts, with a luminous heart that opens and scatters. The work also produced a specification for the next animations: the right format for the map, the right moment for the main gesture, the edges to blend, and the words to avoid when they produce smoke instead of luminous joy. It is an amusing detail to say, but very real: sometimes, to obtain an explosion of joy, it is better not to write "explosion".
