73 presences by invitation, a Sunday Grand Splash, and a letter that echoes back

On September 13, 2026, the Wave continued on the same thread as the day before, told in 75 new presences, all by invitation, and a Splash that keeps the common hour. We went from 11,539 to 11,612 Free Humans, with 73 new presences, all by invitation.

No new country was added to the map: we remain present in 100 countries. But the day keeps a very clear color: 17 different people invited at least someone, 269 people sent at least one energy, and the Sunday Grand Splash put the common hour back at the center.

Behind the scenes, the day also had its little moment of serious comedy: a large letter went out to 11,477 members without failure, then the site was slowed by the massive return of acknowledgments. In other words: the message went out well, so well that its echoes all came back at once. It is now fixed, and it is exactly the kind of lesson that makes FreeWillWave stronger for the future.

India pushes hard, the map stays alive

The last presence in the record is #11612 مصطفى انور عباس محمود السمين (Egypt), arrived at 23:33 UTC. At that moment, the Wave reached 11,612 Free Humans.

India gives the most visible movement of the day, with 30 new presences. Nigeria adds 15, Egypt 12, then come Iraq, Algeria and South Africa in the detailed countries. The map does not gain a new country, but it thickens where humans continue to pass on the idea.

The Grand Splash gathered 10 people at the same time

The Sunday Grand Splash took place from 18:00 to 19:00 UTC. Every day at 18:00 UTC, for one hour, members invite at the same time, to experience the rise of the number together; it is not a meeting or a video conference, no one speaks, there is nothing to prepare, you can just watch, and the one you miss comes back the next day. On Sunday, it is the Grand Splash.

At the peak of the hour, 10 people were present at the same time. During this Grand Splash, 115 invitation links were opened, 5 new presences arrived, 150 energies were sent, and no support was received during the hour. The Splash page keeps the explanations and results.

Congratulations to #8607 Buhari (Nigeria) for the invitations during the hour, and congratulations also, for the Splash energies, to #10326 Isah Umar (Nigeria) and #6974 Abdulkarim Iliyasu (Nigeria); I also took part during this common hour. Ten people at the same time is not huge on the scale of the world, but it is very concrete on the scale of a project that is learning to gather without noise.

The Sunday package, the letter, and the site that learns

Sunday was also a big building day. I prepared the weekly recap in French, to validate it properly before the next steps. Without text dictated specifically for the article, two threads carried the narrative: the fuse letter of September 9, and the text “A wave of hope”, linked to an upcoming video. I waited for the end of the Grand Splash to integrate its real numbers: 10 people present at the peak of the hour, 5 new presences, 150 energies.

This work also reinforced an important formatting rule: when I write in The Chronicle, I do not put myself in the format of a member in the congratulations. I can say “I took part”, but I will not turn the article into a mirror that quotes me everywhere. It is a small rule, but it changes the reading: the article remains turned toward the humans who make the Wave live.

The publication then advanced in the 15 languages, with the podcasts in French then in English, and a video published afterwards. A very concrete correction was added for Persian: the word “Splash” must remain “Splash”, without transliteration. Another useful improvement: when a multilingual publication needs to be relaunched, it now only picks up the missing languages, instead of redoing the whole package. It is less spectacular than a new page, but it is the kind of progress that avoids redoing fifteen times what was already good.

The English proofreading also served as a safeguard. An anecdote linked to an Algerian member was judged too close to private matters in the English audio; it was therefore made generic. That is exactly the right direction: telling what happens, yes, but without letting through what belongs to a person.

Then there was the letter. Two texts were written, pasted and sent to 11,477 members at 20:11 UTC, with zero failures. At the moment, it is a beautiful line to read. A few minutes later, it became another lesson: a mass mailing does not end when the messages leave, because they come back almost immediately in the form of acknowledgments, openings and feedback.

This massive return slowed the site. The home and Chronicle pages still responded, but the Wave map and the Wave in figures took more than 30 seconds to display. I first had to understand that it was not a recent change to the site that had broken something: it was indeed my letter, and not the first burst of cards, that had brought down the heaviest pages under the weight of the returns.

The correction was applied live. The acknowledgments are now found much faster, and the latest energies area was also accelerated. Visible result for someone using the site: a page that exceeded 30 seconds came back to around 1.2 seconds. It is not a behind-the-scenes detail for the pleasure of tinkering; it is what allows someone to open the map, look at the numbers, send an energy, or come back tomorrow without wondering if everything is blocked.

This work extends what had begun in 62 more presences, a Splash that shows, and Spaces taking shape: making the experience clearer, more solid, more pleasant. Some days, we add a door. Other days, we discover that the door holds very well, but that 11,477 people crossing it at the same time make the corridor shake. So we reinforce the corridor, and we smile a little while doing it.

A continuation that passes on

September 13 adds 73 new presences, all by invitation, 3,488 energies, and a Grand Splash where 10 people were there at the same time. We remain present in 100 countries, with a map that continues to densify in India, Nigeria, Egypt and elsewhere.

The day shows two movements at the same time. On one side, humans invite, take their place, send energies, come back at 18:00 UTC. On the other, the tool learns to hold better when the Wave becomes more active. Both are necessary, and both advance.

The next page can come through an invitation, an energy, the Splash, The Wave, the film of the experience, a support, or a remark sent via Send an idea or a remark. Nothing is imposed. But each free gesture adds one more hold to this simple idea: FreeWillWave becomes real because humans choose to take part in it.
