99 more presences, and a Sunday put back in its proper place

On September 6, 2026, the Wave did not change its number of countries. It remains present in 100 countries, as it has since One hundred countries on the map, and clearer paths to continue. But it grew again: 99 humans took their place, all by invitation.

After passing 11,000 as told in The 11,000th Free Human takes their place, and the Wave prepares its first Splash, this day had another job to do: keep filling the map, prepare the first Splash, and put a little order back into how Sunday is told.

There was also a lot of building. Not just corrections, though some were necessary; mostly improvements that make FreeWillWave clearer, more stable, more alive, and sometimes a little more pleasant to look at without wondering why something flickers, disappears, or lands in the wrong place.

The map stays at 100 countries, but it fills up

We went from 11,075 to 11,174 Free Humans. The last presence in the record is #11174 محمدرضا علي (Iraq), arriving at 23:43 UTC. A day that ends with a presence seventeen minutes before midnight keeps something very simple: while I prepare the notes, someone can still open the door.

The new presences come mainly from Nigeria, with 51 arrivals. Egypt adds 13, India 8, Ukraine 5, Algeria 4, and Kenya 4. After Ten presences away from 11,000, the Wave finds its rhythm again, we see the same movement: not necessarily a new country every day, but countries already present that continue to gain depth on the Wave map.

This is not a small thing. A map can stay at the same total of countries and still change. Each added presence makes the Wave a little more visible to someone, and gives another invitation the chance to leave.

Invitations and energies keep the rhythm

The 99 arrivals of the day all come by invitation. Thank you, for the invitations of September 6, to #805 Chizo1germany (Germany), with 4 direct invitations, to #3711 Muhammad Nura Abdullahi (Nigeria), also with 4, and to #11133 Jibrin Suleiman (Nigeria), with 3.

Since the opening, #805 Chizo1germany (Germany) reaches 3,686 direct invitations, #2029 Nura USMAN MUSA (Nigeria) 183, and #869 Ibrahim Sani (Nigeria) 170. These data are also visible in the Wave in numbers, but here they keep their narrative meaning: the idea circulates because humans pass it on.

Energies were also very present: 2,310 energies sent during the day, by 261 different people. Nigeria accounts for 2,154, Niger 42, and Belgium 40. Since the site opened, the cumulative total reaches 40,370 energies.

Thank you, for the energies of this day, to #9125 Adamu Bello (Nigeria), with 214 energies, to #10451 Hamza Muhammad Lawan (Nigeria), with 120, and to #9166 Sunusi Mande (Nigeria), with 102.

Since the opening, #9125 Adamu Bello (Nigeria) reaches 1,855 energies, #9166 Sunusi Mande (Nigeria) 1,816, and #3377 Babayo Haruna (Nigeria) 1,696.

On the support side, two gestures of $5 are recorded since the opening: mine, in Belgium, and that of #79 Oddur Tom (Australia). The Support the project page remains open for those who want to help FreeWillWave continue.

A Sunday that finds its place again

Sunday needed a fairer form. The Sunday recap is not the same object as the daily article: it is more personal, it reviews the week, it can become a podcast, video, and share card. The daily article, on the other hand, must continue to tell the whole day, with its numbers, its presences, its energies, and what was built.

So I separated the two more clearly. The Sunday recap becomes a separate package, with its card for seven days. The daily article returns to the daily box, with a card that stays featured for only one day. This is more logical for the reader: Sunday can have its big summary, without swallowing the precise memory of the day.

This reordering also fixed a real hole: the daily Sunday article could be skipped because the recap already occupied the date. The article of August 31, which existed as a complete draft but had never been published, was therefore published without a card. It is not very glorious as a discovery, but it is exactly the kind of detail that makes the logbook more reliable when corrected.

The recap cards were also improved: the title now appears in bold and as a link, and it is resolved in the language of the page the person is reading, not just in the language of their profile. A small notification "the daily article has arrived" can also appear for the day. Again, the change is discreet, but it avoids an oddity: a French reader should not receive a card in English because their profile keeps another preference.

What I made clearer and more solid

The Sunday video required a good session of reordering. The end capsule had changed: it should no longer talk about only two objects, but about the six objects of the shop, including the new T-shirts with the thumbprint, in September 2026 edition, in dark and white versions. So I updated the end capsule of the podcast, and above all changed the rule: the current capsule must be used everywhere, including on old episodes, instead of letting an old version continue to circulate.

The video already published with the old capsule was replaced by a new public version, then the old one was deleted after checking that it was no longer called. The end screen was set in YouTube Studio, the keywords were cleaned, and the visual cues of the capsule were resynchronized so that the displayed objects match the words heard. I also kept a very concrete rule: a view that is too short becomes a strobe, so it is better to show fewer images than to scroll them too fast.

The rendering of the videos was also made more solid. The longer capsule caused a limit to be exceeded during video production; instead of simply inflating the margin, I changed the way of preparing the images so that they are read in order, without accumulating everything that comes at the end. For a person watching, the expected result is simple: the video comes out with the right capsule, without having to relaunch the same operation twice while crossing fingers.

I also kept the following rule: the daily article remains automatic, but the Sunday podcast, whether weekly or monthly, remains manual. This is important, because the Sunday recap carries more of my voice and my words. The Twitch live was still suspended without a given reason, so the broadcast continued on YouTube.

The Splash received several visible additions. The countdown to the end already existed during the hour, but it was checked. The Splash cells now display the correct next appointment: the small Splash never names Sunday, it jumps to Monday, while the Grand Splash keeps Sunday. On the `/splash` page, each tab shows its own appointment.

I added a red or green indicator: red when it is not in progress, green during the hour. For connected people, a local card can appear at the start of the Splash, once per Splash and per browser, for 25 seconds. It does not go into messages or archived notifications; it simply passes over the screen, and a click opens the invitation on the Wave map. It does not appear on `/tv` or `/admin`.

On the language side, two real flaws were corrected: Hungarian used a translated form where `Free Human` must remain in English, and Persian needed better spacing around the label. The audit was also improved to no longer falsely flag the proper name of the album The Wave, nor a plural "you" in Russian and Ukrainian.

Finally, I corrected the way some pages appear to search engines. Private pages are no longer hidden in a way that prevents reading their no-index instruction, and the public page of Montenegro is no longer blocked by an overly broad rule. Profiles remain reachable and shareable, but only those with a bio or a public link can request to be indexed. Profile links are also better checked: a link must really look like a usable public address. A faulty link was removed, without touching the rest of the card.

What this day adds

September 6 adds 99 presences, 99 arrivals by invitation, 2,310 energies, and a clearer preparation of the first Splash. The map stays at 100 countries, but it fills up. The Sunday Story finds its place again, the daily article keeps its own, and the videos now carry an up-to-date end capsule.

These are many details, but they all go in the same direction: making FreeWillWave easier to follow, to share, to listen to, to watch, and to understand. A person can take their place, see the Wave, listen to The Wave, discover the film of the experience, send an energy, invite someone, support the project, or pass on a remark via Send an idea or a remark.

The next page is already close: the first Splash is coming. It will not depend on a magic button, but on very simple gestures, at the same moment: open the map, invite, send an energy, watch what moves, and let the Wave continue to take shape through the humans who freely take part in it.
