286 Free Humans, 30 countries… and now, the Wave has its music
Last night, we were 274 Free Humans in 29 countries.
Today, we are 286 Free Humans in 30 countries.
Twelve new people have taken their place since the last chronicle, and a new country has appeared on the map: Malaysia, opened on July 25 at 07:56 UTC by Free Human #282, Musa Khan.
The latest arrival as I write these lines is Free Human #286, Nilo Perdigon, in the Philippines.
So the Wave continues to grow. But since last night, it is no longer content to just be visible on a map.
It now has its own music.
“The Wave”, the first FreeWillWave album
In recent days, I created an album entirely dedicated to FreeWillWave.
It is called The Wave and brings together 11 tracks, all in English.
It features different facets of the project: human choice, gathering, transmission, the fire received from our ancestors, the simplicity of the plan, and that essential idea that something is already beginning.
The music that has been created brings a certain frequency, both through its sounds and its lyrics.
I am not necessarily talking about a mystical frequency. I am talking about what one feels when music, words, and intention go in the same direction.
Some songs are intimate. Others are designed as great anthems that can be taken up by a crowd. You hear different atmospheres, but they all tell the same human adventure.
The album tells the Wave differently.
It does not require reading a long explanation. It simply allows one to listen, to feel, and perhaps to pass the message on to someone who will receive it more easily through music.

FreeWillWave can grow in many ways.
One person can invite a friend. Another can share a link, write a text, create an image, talk about the project in a video, or organize a meetup.
Today, a new possibility is added to that list: sharing a song.
“The Plan is Simple” now fits in one minute
Another important creation has been added to the site: the “The Plan is Simple” presentation.
It is a cinematic slideshow of about one minute, made of images, music, and a few words.
The presentation exists in the site's 15 languages.
It can be launched from the home page, from the Wave map, and now directly from each personal invitation page.
This changes many things.
When someone receives a link from a Free Human, they can now discover the project in one minute before even deciding to sign up. They are not forced to immediately browse through several pages or understand every element of the site on their own.
The last scene directly shows them the next available Free Human number, along with the “Take My Place” button.
The goal is simple: to allow anyone who arrives to quickly understand that we are creating a visible human group, that everyone can take their place, and that this place strengthens the whole.
The first Wave will begin on September 1st
I have also made a decision regarding the monthly relay.
Wave 1 will not start on August 1st after all. It will start on September 1, 2026 at 11:23 UTC.
I prefer to have the month of August to continue growing the group, explain the relay more clearly, and prepare this first collective experience under better conditions.
All dates on the site, in emails, and in reminders have been automatically adjusted.
The public principle remains intentionally simple: each month, a human relay sets in motion to help the Wave pass from one person to another.
It never replaces free invitations. Everyone can continue to invite and share as much as they wish, before, during, and after their own turn in the relay.
A much clearer map on mobile
The Wave map has also been reworked for mobile screens.
When a new human arrives, their name now appears in a clearly readable bubble placed just above the map. The information is no longer covered by other interface elements.
The “Send Energy” button is now placed directly below the map.
The buttons that used to appear and disappear inside it have been removed. They created overlaps and made some interactions difficult to understand on a phone.
Thus the map becomes the main show again: humans arrive, countries light up, and energies circulate. Actions remain available, but now live around it rather than on top of it.
Twelve new Free Humans and a thirtieth country
Since the chronicle of the evening of July 24, twelve new people have joined FreeWillWave.
The daily progression remains particularly steady:
- July 21: 11 arrivals
- July 22: 14 arrivals
- July 23: 13 arrivals
- July 24: 12 arrivals
- July 25: 10 arrivals at the time of reading
We are now present in 30 countries.
This thirtieth country is Malaysia, represented for the first time by Free Human #282, Musa Khan.
Every new country begins with one person.
One person chooses to take their place, and a new part of the world suddenly becomes visible in the Wave.
The first relay between members is still to come
The counter of direct invitations from one member to another is still at zero.
The attribution system, repaired on July 24, is therefore still waiting for its first real invitation.
It is neither an accusation nor a judgment. It is simply the current state of the experience.
We now know that the mechanism works. The next person who receives a personal link and decides to take their place could become the first true visible relay between two Free Humans.
This first invitation will mark a new stage: the moment when growth will begin to be transmitted directly from human to human.
Samantha has just crossed 100 energies
The Wave now counts 838 energy gestures, sent by 59 people.
Seventeen energies have been added since the last chronicle, and twenty in the last 24 hours.

Each energy only lasts a few seconds, but it adds a visible heartbeat to the project. It shows that a person has returned, has thought of the Wave, and has chosen to devote a moment to it.
The project is starting to produce its own culture
In twenty-four hours, twelve people have joined us, a thirtieth country has appeared, the project presentation has become accessible from every invitation, and the map has become more pleasant to use on mobile.
But the album perhaps represents an even more different evolution.
A group does not become alive only because its counter increases.
It becomes alive when it starts producing stories, images, words, gatherings, and music.
The Wave is a first soundtrack for this adventure.
It is available now. Everyone can listen to it, choose the track that speaks to them the most, and pass it on freely.
