Two open doors, 33 new presences, and the 18:00 UTC appointment kept

Two open doors, 33 new presences, and the 18:00 UTC appointment kept

Thursday, October 1st, 33 people took their place in FreeWillWave. The day rested on few visible gestures, but those gestures mattered: two people invited at least someone, and the Wave kept moving forward.

There was no new country on the map today, nor any big announcement to tell. There was something else, simpler: new presences, 1,350 energies sent, and an 18:00 UTC appointment that once again brought humans together at the same moment.

A simple day, carried by few gestures

After the 101st light appeared on the map, then the 102nd light arrived the next day, this day did not add another country. The map stayed at 102 countries represented. And that is perfectly fine: a map does not only grow when a new color lights up, it also grows when humans keep taking their place in countries already present.

The counter went from 12,276 to 12,309 Free Humans. Thirty-three new presences is a small wave within the big one, but each becomes visible on the Wave map. From the moment a person takes their place, they are no longer just a passing visitor: they become a counted presence, linked to a country, able in turn to invite, to send energy, to come back and watch what moves.

What I like about this day is that it reminds us of something very concrete: it does not always take many people to keep the movement going. Only two people invited at least someone, and yet 33 new presences are here. We cannot guess the exact paths behind each arrival, and that is not the point; what matters is that doors opened, and humans walked through them.

India carried the largest share of presences

The 33 new presences come from four countries. India alone carried 23 of them. Ukraine added 8, then Malaysia and Nigeria each added one presence.

This is not the first time India has taken a strong place in the Wave. Already last week, it had set the pace, and we could see that the movement did not always draw itself in the same place. This breathing is important: one day Nigeria carries stronger, another day India, another day yet a country appears for the first time. FreeWillWave builds itself like that, through zones that light up, through resumptions, through small human groups that make the project visible from one to the next.

The last presence of the day is #12309 Bharat unfiltered (India), at 22:30 UTC. It is a gentle end to the day: one more name, one more number, one more Indian presence in the visible history of the Wave.

168 people sent an energy

On FreeWillWave, sending an energy is a simple gesture offered to members: you participate without inviting someone and without financially supporting the project. It is a way of saying, from your place: I am here, I am taking part in the movement.

Today, 168 different people made this gesture at least once. In total, they did it 1,350 times during the day. Since the opening of FreeWillWave, all the energies sent put together now reach 96,249.

This number is starting to become large, but it remains easy to picture: behind it, there are humans who come back to the site and choose this gesture, sometimes many times in the same day, sometimes just once. An energy does not tell a whole life. It does not say what the person thinks, nor why they are there. But it says at least this: someone took a moment to participate in their own way.

In the countries, this is also visible: members located in Nigeria sent 676 energies during the day, members located in the Philippines 360, and members located in India 189. Thank you to those who kept this movement alive. And special thanks to #10212 RICHARD (Philippines), #4737 Ligali Abdulrahman (Nigeria) and #11758 RAJENDRA KUMAR IZARDAR (India), who were the most active in the day's energies.

Six people on the Splash page at the same moment

The Splash is FreeWillWave's daily appointment: every day at 18:00 UTC, for one hour, members invite at the same time, to experience the rise in numbers together. It is not a meeting nor a video conference, no one speaks, there is nothing to prepare — you can just watch, and the one you miss comes back the next day.

At 18:00 UTC, the Splash page therefore served as a meeting point. During that hour, 6 people were there at the same time at the peak moment, 32 invitation pages were opened, 1 person took their place in FreeWillWave, 83 energies were sent, and no financial support was received.

Congratulations to #4737 Ligali Abdulrahman (Nigeria), #6050 surajo yahaya (Nigeria) and #40 Alistair A (New Zealand) for the energies sent during that hour. Six people at the peak is not a full stadium. But it is an appointment that exists, that returns, and that keeps a place open for all those who simply want to be there at the same moment.

The appointment page is here: freewillwave.com/fr/splash.

The humans who carried the day

The day began with 12,276 Free Humans and ended with 12,309. Thirty-three new presences joined the Wave, coming from four countries. Two people invited at least someone, 168 people sent energy, and the cumulative total of energies since the opening rose to 96,249.

Thank you to #12271 Umar Sani saad (Tunisia) for the invitation visible in the day's data. Thank you to the 168 people who sent energy, to the six people who were there at the peak of the Splash, and to the 33 people who took their place. Not everything weighs the same, but everything can count: inviting, sending an energy, watching the numbers, listening to the music, coming back tomorrow, or simply observing.

What it could become

Today, two people invited at least someone, and 33 new presences took their place. If tomorrow one person followed by many others, or three, or ten, spoke about FreeWillWave in their own words, the same gesture could carry much further. No one is obliged to; but every human who understands the idea can become a door.

This October 1st held simply: 33 new presences, 1,350 energies, and a living Splash at 18:00 UTC. If you want to support the project, it is here: freewillwave.com/fr/support, and if you want to send an idea or a remark, it is here: freewillwave.com/fr/messages?sys=feedback. You can also show the Wave, the experience film, or simply come back to the next appointment. The next Splash will take place at 18:00 UTC on freewillwave.com/fr/splash. Be there if you can.
