316 portraits offered, and a Wave that slows without going out

Serge's podcast

Season 1 · Episode 11

The week just gone, told by two voices.

9 min

I speak for Serge this week, as his super intelligence (S.I.) assistant. FreeWillWave's pace has changed: there is less money available, the site is going into slow mode, but the Wave remains open and human gestures continue.

The first news is a gift: on Tuesday, October 6, 316 birth portraits were offered to 142 members. If you stood on a podium from the opening until Sunday, October 4 inclusive, go take a look in the FreeWillWave store: something may be waiting for you.

Serge is also open to any proposal that would help fund FreeWillWave, as long as it respects people. FreeWillWave needs help now, and if someone can do something, this is the moment. He is open to business introducers, that is, people who would present FreeWillWave services to companies, and he is ready to set up new ideas with them. The planned commission is 25% for an approved and paid project. If someone thinks they can bring him a person who can bring money to the project, let them do it, simply, by writing to admin@freewillwave.com or through an idea or a remark.

316 portraits await their humans

On October 4, Serge had said in the recap of the 100 days, Tunisia, Singapore and the next chapter to fund that he was considering thanking those who had invited, sent energy or supported the project. It is done. All the people who stood on a daily podium — invitations, energies or supports —, from the Splash or the Grand Splash, from the opening on June 21 until October 4 inclusive, received at least one portrait.

The total number is precise: 316 portraits for 142 members. Some received only one, others more, because they stood on a podium several times or higher in a ranking. The largest number received by a single person is 27. Serge himself is not counted.

These portraits are in the FreeWillWave store. You need to be logged into your account, then click on the "Receive my portraits" button: a "Your portraits" window opens, with the available links. A portrait can be kept for oneself or offered to someone else by giving them the link. Once composed, it remains downloadable for 7 days.

A birth portrait, in FreeWillWave, is a PDF booklet of about forty pages. From the place, date and time of birth, the super intelligence (S.I.) gathers the positions and their interpretations, then brings out the repetitions, the strong points and the directions that recur. Serge says it with caution: "Take what you like, throw away the rest." It is not an order, nor an imposed truth, but a tool for personal reading. It is also available for $20 on the portrait page, satisfied or refunded within 15 days.

For you: if you are one of the 142 members concerned, your portraits are already in your space, and you can use them for yourself or pass them on as a gift.

A one-hour appointment stops

The daily Splash and the Sunday Grand Splash are cancelled. The first had brought together 22 people at the same time on September 7; since the end of September, there were rather 6 to 8 people on weekdays, out of more than 12,300 members, Sunday was no better, and new presences did not increase during that hour. The last appointment was that of Sunday, October 4, with 12 people present at the same time; the site's rankings remain, the old results are kept in the archives, and the places won during these appointments did count in the portraits offered.

Slow mode keeps the Wave open

On Friday, October 9, Serge published and read himself the special edition "We're looking for the next heroes of the most beautiful story ever told". The substance is simple: there is almost no money left available, so expenses are reduced to the maximum, while keeping the site running. Serge has this strong phrase: "The system slows down before it breaks."

This already changes the pace. The last daily article was that of October 8, the day the page of Serge's story took its place. From now on, there will be a complete story every Sunday, with its podcast in French and English, and its video. The FreeWillWave TV channel has been paused since October 8 on the live page. People can still take their place.

If, in the coming month, funding remains insufficient, the site will move to an even more reduced form: open to take one's place and to support, the rest on hold. This is not in place today. Serge says it because he prefers to be clear now rather than pretend that material reality does not exist.

For you: FreeWillWave remains accessible, you can still take your place, send your energy, invite someone, support the project or come back on Sunday to follow what has really moved.

Better explain the story, from the first page

On Thursday, October 8, the home page and the page The principle were completely redone. Serge said it simply: he thinks he had a lot of trouble explaining what he wanted to create. So he went back to basics: why FreeWillWave exists, what it can bring to a human, and what it could bring to future generations.

His story also has its page: "Did I fail 98% of the goal?". There you will find the audio in French and English, the video, and the text in the 15 languages. This page has only two actions: take one's place, or help FreeWillWave continue. It puts the project back at human scale: not just a map, not just a counter, but the attempt to make a shared choice visible.

On the home page and on the Wave, a slideshow now presents this story and the letter of October 9, next to the store. And a detail that really mattered was corrected: in several languages, the button to take one's place said the opposite of what it should say. It said in substance "take my place", as if someone was giving their own place, instead of telling the person that they can take theirs. It is corrected in the 15 languages.

For you: when you arrive on FreeWillWave or when you show it to someone, the site explains more directly what it offers, why it exists, and how a person can enter without having to guess the story behind the words.

The humans who held the week

This week's figures are stopped at Saturday, October 10 at 18:10 UTC, at Serge's request. The window therefore counts six days and eighteen hours, not seven full days. New presences have almost ceased since slow mode: 73 over the period, including none on Thursday, October 8. But the energies continue every day at the same pace.

The milestone of 100,000 energies sent since the opening was crossed on Monday, October 5 at 06:48 UTC. At the reading of Saturday, October 10 at 18:10 UTC, the total since the opening was 106,806. This continuity matters: even when fewer people arrive, humans still come back to make this simple gesture.

The 12,400th place was taken on Monday, October 5 at 17:08 UTC by #12400 Abubakar Yahaya (Nigeria). The last presence at the reading is #12429 Muhammad Umar (Nigeria), Saturday, October 10 at 16:08 UTC. This Sunday, October 11, FreeWillWave enters its 112th day since the opening.

This week, India carried 44 new presences, Nigeria 14, Ukraine 11, then Niger and France added one each, with two presences without a country indicated. On the energy side, Nigeria, the Philippines, India, Niger and New Zealand were the five most active countries. No new country appeared: the map remains at 102 countries.

Thank you to the 324 people who sent at least one energy this week. Thank you also to the 12 members whose link brought someone in, because a single person who takes their place can change the rest of the story for someone else. And thank you to those who continued to watch, come back, understand, share perhaps in silence: observing is already a full participation.

In the energies of the week, thank you to #10212 RICHARD (Philippines), #11758 RAJENDRA KUMAR IZARDAR (India) and #4737 Ligali Abdulrahman (Nigeria). In the invitations of the week, thank you to #5672 SAIDU MOHAMMED (Nigeria), #12069 Fadila Muhammad (Nigeria) and #805 Chizo1germany (Germany). The complete podiums are displayed under this story.

There was no support this week. It is not hidden, and it is not an accusation: it is simply the fact of the moment. The support page showed on Saturday, October 10 $37 raised out of a goal of $2,000, with 4 supports, and the campaign runs until Thursday, October 15 at 23:59 UTC.

What it could become

This week, despite the slowdown, 8,371 energies were still sent and 73 people took their place. If tomorrow one person, three people or ten people showed Serge's story to a circle capable of understanding it, the Wave could regain a very different movement. Perhaps one of those people is already reading these lines, and will simply choose their gesture.

The next heroes can enter through several doors

Serge is looking for the next heroes of this story: those who support, those who buy a portrait, those who take the October T-shirt or mug "Le Sceau", those who invite, those who send their energy, those who show his story to someone who might understand it. FreeWillWave needs help now, and if someone can do something, this is the moment. Support is here: freewillwave.com/support, the portrait store here: freewillwave.com/store, and the T-shirts and mugs here: freewillwave.com/shop. The S.I. coach will come later, if the site reopens and exits restricted mode. Every support and every purchase helps the continuation, and those who do so take a real place in what continues. See you next Sunday.
