The page of the story exists, and 130 humans keep the energy moving

Thursday, October 8, a new page took its place in FreeWillWave: “I failed at 98%” now exists at /my-story, with the audio, the full text, the real counter of the Wave and two simple actions to continue.

The day added no new presence, and I say it simply. The counter stayed at 12,423 Free Humans, but 130 people still sent 1,099 energies. An energy, on the site, is a simple gesture: you click to send a positive sign to a Free Human, without writing a public message.

“I failed at 98%” now has its page

“I failed at 98%” is the personal story that explains where FreeWillWave comes from: the path, the attempts, the failures, and this idea that remains standing despite everything. Until now, this story existed mainly as a video and a text to circulate. Now, it has its own page, clear, direct, designed for someone who discovers the project without having followed the previous episodes.

The page contains the audio in French and English, with a synthetic voice, and the text word for word in the 15 languages of the site. The displayed counter is the real counter of the Wave, the same movement found on the map. The page also displays two visible buttons: take your place in FreeWillWave, or help the project continue.

I like this simplicity. There are moments when you need to add things, and others when you need to remove everything that distracts attention. Here, someone can listen to or read the story, see how many Free Humans are already there, then freely choose whether to take their place or support the project.

For you: if you want to show FreeWillWave to someone who knows nothing about the project, you can now send them a single page that tells the origin, displays the real Wave and leaves them two possible gestures.

Television is on pause, and it's said clearly

FreeWillWave TV is the video channel of the project: the place where the site could announce a live broadcast. For now, it no longer broadcasts continuously. So the site had to stop suggesting a permanent live where there is none.

It's fixed. The red “LIVE” badge gave way to “Paused”, the texts that spoke of a day-and-night broadcast disappeared, and the site's help now indicates that there is no live at the moment. The channels remain accessible, but the site no longer promises what it doesn't deliver.

It's a small visible change, but it matters. One promise too many, even unintentional, creates confusion. A correct sentence, in the right place, removes that confusion and respects the person who arrives.

For you: if you go to the page that allows you to watch FreeWillWave, you immediately know whether there is a live or not, without waiting in front of a screen that doesn't start.

Public profiles breathe better

A public profile is the page of a Free Human: their number, their country, and the visible elements of their presence in the Wave. These pages are heavily visited, by humans, but also by robots that crawl the site. When many pages are opened, the site must remain pleasant for real people.

Since yesterday, public profiles briefly keep in memory certain information that doesn't change every second. This means that when several visitors look at nearby pages, the site doesn't need to recalculate everything each time. The counters that must stay alive, however, continue to update directly.

This is not the kind of improvement that is noticed by a big announcement. But it is exactly what makes a Wave more solid: less waiting, fewer heavy pages, more fluidity to look at the humans already present. After the day when four presences held the thread, this kind of work helps to welcome what comes next without noise.

For you: when you open a public profile or move from one human to another, the pages can respond faster, especially when many visitors browse the site at the same time.

A day without arrival, but not without movement

There are days that add thirty presences, like the one when the Wave surpassed 101,000 energies. There are smaller days, like Tuesday's with fourteen presences and many energies. And then there are days like this one: no new presence, but 130 people opened the site and sent at least one energy from their space.

It's important to look at it without makeup. FreeWillWave doesn't grow in a straight line. There are moments when a person invites, when a country lights up, when a page circulates. And there are moments when visible growth stops for a day, while those already there continue to use the site.

The 1,099 energies of the day measure 1,099 gestures made from FreeWillWave by 130 different people. They say that humans are still there, in the Philippines, Nigeria, India, and elsewhere. They don't replace new presences, but they show that the day was still inhabited.

The humans who held the day

Thursday, October 8 began with 12,423 Free Humans and ended with the same number. During that full day, counted from 00:00 to 24:00 UTC, no human took their place and no one invited someone. However, 130 different people sent 1,099 energies, bringing the cumulative total since opening to 104,630 energies.

The last visible presence at the time of the reading remains #12423 ibrahim saidu (Nigeria). The number didn't move, but the data page remains open to follow what changes next: freewillwave.com/fr/data.

Thank you to the 130 people who sent an energy yesterday. Special thanks to #10212 RICHARD (Philippines), #11758 RAJENDRA KUMAR IZARDAR (India) and #4737 Ligali Abdulrahman (Nigeria) for the gestures that carried the day. Thanks also to those who simply watched, read, listened, or kept FreeWillWave somewhere in a corner of their day: observing is already a full participation.

What it could become

Yesterday, a page made to tell the origin of FreeWillWave became easier to share, while 130 people used the site to send an energy. If tomorrow one person showed it to their circle, or if three creators decided to talk about it each to their audience, the Wave could find doors where it had none yet. No one has this obligation; each person can only recognize the moment when they want to pass it on.

FreeWillWave continues with clearer pages, a story easier to listen to, and humans who come back even on days without arrivals. If you want to help concretely, you can support the project or send an idea, a remark, a contact. If you simply want to watch, the Wave is there, and the music too: freewillwave.com/fr/music. At 18:00 UTC, if you can, come back to rest your eyes on what moves. Not to prove anything, just to watch the Wave at the same moment as other humans.
