Four new presences, and 1,144 gestures to keep the thread

Wednesday, October 7 was a small day of arrivals: four humans took their place in FreeWillWave. And meanwhile, 135 different people sent 1,144 energies.

It is exactly on days like this that we see if the Wave holds. After the day when 147 humans kept the movement going, it did not make a big leap. It continued to breathe, carried by simple gestures.

A low day, but very much alive

There are days when the counter moves fast, like Monday, when the Wave surpassed 101,000 energies and welcomed thirty presences. And then there are smaller days, like this Wednesday: four new presences, three people who invited at least someone, and a map that remains present in 102 countries.

It is not a spectacular day. But it is not an empty day. Four more humans means four real presences who can now see the Wave map, come back, send an energy, talk about the project to someone, or simply stay there like one more light.

The last presence of the day is #12423 ibrahim saidu (Nigeria), at 20:12 UTC. An evening arrival, discreet, but it counts as much in the story as the fuller days.

The energies held the day

The heart of Wednesday is the energies. 1,144 gestures sent by 135 different people is not nothing. Concretely, someone opens FreeWillWave, uses the action provided to send an energy, and this gesture is added to the public counter of the day.

Since the opening, the cumulative total now reaches 103,531 energies. As recently as Sunday, the Wave was approaching 100,000; a few days later, that threshold is behind us. It is not crossed with one big action, but with hundreds of gestures repeated by humans who come back.

Nigeria sent 532 energies during the day, the Philippines 300, India 244. Behind these countries, there are people who took a few seconds to keep the link alive. And when 135 humans make this gesture on a quiet day, the Wave does not stop: it keeps its rhythm.

Three countries added presences

The four new presences come from three countries: two from Nigeria, one from India, one from Ukraine. No new country was added to the map this Wednesday, but the 102 countries already represented remain there, visible, like a base that does not disappear when the day is gentler.

It is an important thing to keep in mind: FreeWillWave does not start from zero every morning. When a country appears on the map or when a person takes their place, it remains visible in the totals of the following days. The day's new presences add to yesterday's, to the energies already sent, to the invitations already launched, to the people who may be watching without acting right away.

And observing also counts. Not everyone has to invite, support, write, or come back every day. Some days, opening the Wave's numbers to see where the presences are, listening to a song from the album The Wave, or simply following the project from afar is already a way to stay connected to what is being built.

Wednesday, October 7, the Wave went from 12,419 to 12,423 Free Humans. Four new presences were added, while three different people invited at least someone. At the same time, 135 humans sent 1,144 energies, and the cumulative total since the opening rose to 103,531.

These numbers are visible in the data, but here I want to remember above all the gesture: humans come back, humans open doors, humans keep the Wave active even when the day is small.

What it could become

This Wednesday, three people invited at least someone, and four new presences arrived. If tomorrow a person with a larger audience simply told what they see on FreeWillWave, the same gesture could change scale without changing nature: one human shows a door to another human.
