The Wave surpasses 101,000 energies and gains thirty presences

Monday, October 5, the Wave surpassed 101,000 energies sent since opening. On FreeWillWave, sending an energy means making a small gesture from the site to say that a presence matters; during the day, 173 different people did it 1,406 times.

The day did not need visible novelty to count. Thirty humans took their place, four people invited at least someone, and the Wave continued to advance through real, quiet, repeated gestures.

The 100,000 mark is no longer ahead of us

The day before, the cumulative total of energies was still approaching 100,000: the Grand Splash had held its hour, and the Wave was approaching this milestone. The next day, the milestone is behind us: 101,037 energies since opening, visible in the Wave's numbers.

This number does not tell everything, of course. An energy is not a speech, nor a promise, nor a grand declaration. It is a small gesture. But when 173 different people send some in the same day, and the cumulative total passes above 101,000, we see something simple: the Wave is not only watched, it is touched by humans who come back.

And that is perhaps what pleases me most today. There was no big event to manufacture for the day to exist. The humans held it themselves.

Thirty more presences, until the last minutes

The Wave counted 12,375 Free Humans at the start of the day. At the end, it counted 12,405. Thirty new presences is not an explosion; it is one more line in the story, and that line was written until the very end.

The last presence recorded is #12405 अरुण कुमार शुक्ल (India), at 23:55 UTC. Five minutes before the end of the day, someone was still taking their place. I like those end-of-days: they remind us that the Wave does not grow only when we watch it.

India carried 19 new presences, Ukraine 7, and Nigeria 3. The countries represented remain at 102: no new country this time, but a map that continues to fill itself from within. Those who want to see it move can follow it directly on the Wave map.

Four people opened a door

Four different people invited at least someone during the day. This number is small, and it is precious: sometimes a single link passed on at the right moment is enough for a person to discover FreeWillWave and decide to take their place.

Thank you to #3559 Suleman Sanusi (Nigeria), #8196 Abubakar yahaya (Canada) and #12387 Bharat Pratham Right Doc (India): their invitation link led to a new presence during the day. Thank you also to the fourth person who invited someone.

Since opening, some presences have already made the Wave circulate a lot. #805 Chizo1germany (Germany), #2029 Nura USMAN MUSA (Nigeria) and #869 Ibrahim Sani (Nigeria) remain important landmarks in cumulative invitations. Again, these are not names placed on a cold board: they are humans through whom other humans found the entrance.

The energy came from afar, and it continued

During the day, Nigeria sent 580 energies, the Philippines 316, and India 267. These three countries carried a large part of the day's movement, but the most telling figure remains perhaps this one: 173 different people sent at least one energy.

Thank you to #10212 RICHARD (Philippines), #11758 RAJENDRA KUMAR IZARDAR (India) and #6201 Sidi Abdoul Raouf (Niger), particularly active in the day's energies. And over time, #10212 RICHARD (Philippines) now shows 10,234 energies sent since opening, ahead of #9125 Adamu Bello (Nigeria) and #6974 Abdulkarim Iliyasu (Nigeria).

A few days ago, an October visual had appeared on the site, and seven people were present during the common hour of 18:00 UTC. Today, there are other numbers, other gestures, other presences. The day confirms the same thing in a very concrete way: humans come back, and the Wave's visible counters continue to advance.

The humans who held the day

The day started with 12,375 Free Humans and ended with 12,405. Thirty new presences were added, carried notably by India, Ukraine and Nigeria. Energies continued to circulate all day, bringing the cumulative total since opening to 101,037.

What it could become

Yesterday, four people invited someone, and thirty new presences took their place. If tomorrow a person followed by many others spoke about FreeWillWave, or if three humans simply circulated the idea around them, the same human mechanism could change scale.
